Research Scientist

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely project delivery within budget, while meeting business requirements and overseeing the operations, maintenance, and monitoring of systems
• Mentor the internal development team in applying Agile principles and practices to maximise business value
• Assess and recommend Agile software engineering practices for the team's improvement
• Identify and address impediments, or guide the team in removing obstacles
• Foster a trusting and safe environment where issues can be raised without fear of judgement, focusing on problem-solving
• Enhance transparency, share information, and ensure effective communication
• Increase the development team's velocity at a sustainable pace
• Educate and support the Product Owner, particularly in product backlog refinement, vendor management, and internal stakeholder engagement
• Uphold the principles of the Agile Software Development Manifesto

Requirements

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information/Infocomm Technology, Computer or Electronics Engineering, or a related field

Experience

At least 4 years of relevant working experience in this role

Required Skills

• Experience in full software or product development cycles
• Agile methodology
• Prior development experience
• Excellent stakeholder engagement
• Communication skills
• Familiarity with Scrum, LeSS, and Kanban
• Knowledge of design thinking
• Workshop facilitation
