Specialist Pharmacist – Production and Clinical Trials

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overall management of Pharmacy Production Department
- Final check and release medicines manufactured in NUH Pharmacy Production Units
- Maintain awareness of new medicines and service developments
- Deputise for Assistant Head of Pharmacy – Production Services
- Support and supervise team of Pharmacists, Pre-registration Pharmacists, and staff
- Maintain links with professional bodies (GPhC, MHRA, DoH, NIHR)
- Liaise with QC on quality assurance compliance
- Conduct clinical audits and implement changes
- Assist in staffing and recruitment
- Critically appraise published work
- Interpret clinical trial and IMP requests
- Manage trial documentation and validation
- Contribute to business cases for new staff/equipment
- Manage stock control systems
- Support Health and Safety assessments
- Develop performance indicators for clinical trials
- Advise on advanced therapy services
- Manage ATMP service and clinical trials
- Develop and implement training for new technologies
- Lead specialist teaching for healthcare staff
- Participate in research projects
