Sr. Policy Analyst
ZERO TO THREE
Key Responsibilities
- Work with HealthySteps Director of Policy and Policy and Finance Team to implement policy agenda
- Coordinate with ZERO TO THREE's Policy Center
- Develop strategy to support HealthySteps network in articulating value
- Develop messaging around funding opportunities and advocacy
- Maintain tracker mapping HealthySteps network to Congressional Districts
- Research and track legislative champions and opportunities
- Develop fact sheets and collateral content
- Support HealthySteps in coalitions
- Stay abreast of developments in infant/toddler policy
- Garner visibility for HealthySteps through presentations
- Prepare responses to media opportunities and federal requests
- Coordinate with HealthySteps Policy and Finance Payment Team
Requirements
Education
Master's degree in public policy, social work, early childhood, mental health, public health or related field, or law degree preferred
Experience
5 years relevant work experience
Required Skills
- Understanding of federal policy processes
- Experience in coalition groups
- Knowledge of health, mental health, and early childhood policies
- Knowledge of Medicaid policy
- Excellent writing and verbal skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret complex documents
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal skills
