Specialist Neurology

Key Responsibilities

• Perform duties of a neurologist in OPD and IP according to approved privileges
• Oversee neurodiagnostic laboratory (EEG, EMG) operations and train technicians
• Provide on-call emergency coverage for neurologic emergencies
• Participate in monthly educational conferences
• Support continuous quality improvement and promote appropriate standards of care
• Exercise effective interpersonal skills with staff, associates, and management
• Demonstrate leadership skills in developing teamwork
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and administrative matters
• Promote effective communication through listening skills
• Understand and respect hospital policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by HOD/Medical Director

Requirements

Education

MBBS degree from an accredited school of Medicine

Experience

Minimum of three years experience as Neurologist post certification

Required Skills

• Thorough knowledge of medical ethics
• Excellent command of oral and written English
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Leadership skills

Required Certifications

• Post-Graduate Masters degree or equivalent Fellowships approved by DOH
• Current licensure in country of origin
• DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE
