Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of high performing professionals in delivering EIA/SEA projects
- Manage and oversee EIA/SEA projects for key infrastructure/policy development
- Oversee, guide and manage technical specialists, sub-consultants and junior team members
- Take ownership of projects from inception to completion
- Prioritise projects while balancing client expectations, available staff resources and project deadlines
- Win new work by preparing and overseeing the preparation of fee proposals
- Work on multi-disciplinary projects across a wide range of sectors
- Liaise with clients and other relevant stakeholders
Requirements
Education
Degree in science or engineering with an environmental component
Experience
Extensive experience working in a consultancy / regulatory role in the environmental assessment field
Required Skills
- Knowledge of relevant Irish and European planning and environmental legislation
- Knowledge of EIA Directive and transposing Regulations
- Knowledge of Habitats Directive and Appropriate Assessment (AA) process (desirable)
- Knowledge of Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) (desirable)
- Experience in coordinating planning applications
- Excellent organisational and coordinating skills
- Excellent verbal communication and report writing skills
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to define scopes of work
- Ability to deliver projects on budget
- Team management experience

Required Certifications
- Membership of the Institution of Environmental Sciences or similar (desirable)
