Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the "BioTense" third-party funded project with the goal of obtaining a doctorate
- Develop methods for analytical investigation of lipids and surfactants in complex matrices with a focus on chromatography
- Conduct studies on the environmental impact of new biosurfactants and formulations based on them (biodegradability and ecotoxicological investigations)
- Elucidate structure-property relationships in complex formulations using QSAR models
- Publish research results and present them at international conferences
- Support teaching, especially in conducting practical courses
- Independent teaching (2.6 SWS) in the field of basic natural sciences (Bachelor and Master)
- Collaborate in an interdisciplinary research team from the fields of synthesis, analytics, and physical chemistry
Requirements
Education
Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Analytics or comparable field
Required Skills
- Expertise in Analytical Chemistry, especially in biomolecule analytics
- Experience in independent operation of analytical measuring instruments
- Basic knowledge of ecotoxicology and ideally in (bio)chemical synthesis
- Project management experience
- Presentation of scientific results
- Proficient use of MS Office programs
- Software for spreadsheets and evaluation of analytical datasets
- Very good German and English language skills
- Independent and analytical thinking and working style
- Strong communication and cooperation skills
