Key Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between business units and IT Department
- Analyze requirements feasibility
- Examine current processes and define new processes
- Document and translate business requirements into systems specifications
- Assist stakeholders in understanding the bigger picture
- Present solutions to all levels of the organization
- Collaborate with developers to determine functionality options
- Work with stakeholders to reconcile conflicts
- Drive and manage testing procedures
- Comply with Hartford's policies and procedures
- Travel to other office locations as needed
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (not essential)
Experience
Relevant years of experience in a Business Analyst role
Required Skills
- Experience with Policy Admin systems (Genius, Subscribe)
- Experience with Exposure and Aggregation Management Tools
- Experience with Claims Management Systems (DOCOsoft)
- Understanding of data modeling techniques
- Data analysis and documentation
- SQL database proficiency
- Knowledge of project management methodologies
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel, MS Project, SQL
- Strong customer service ethic
- Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills
- Solid presentation skills
- Ability to learn new products quickly
- Prioritization and organization skills
- Clear communication (written and verbal)

Required Certifications
- BCS (ISEB) - Certified Business Analyst (a plus)
- CBAP - Certified Business Analysis Professional (a plus)
