Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessment, consultation and treatment programs
- Perform therapeutic lifts/transfers
- Provide physical support during physiotherapy sessions
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team
- Provide discharge planning
- Perform patient assessments and diagnoses
- Implement rehabilitation strategies
- Supervise Therapy Assistants and Provisional Physiotherapists
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Provide clinical supervision
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy
Experience
1 year preferred in adult inpatient acute care
Required Skills
- Strong clinical reasoning
- Problem solving
- Conflict resolution
- Strong communication
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Connect Care knowledge preferred
- Physical capability to lift 10-15 kg
- Ability to work independently and in teams
Required Certifications
- Current registration with College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
- Heart and Stroke CPR (BLS-HCP)
