Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive assessment, consultation and treatment programs
  • Perform therapeutic lifts/transfers
  • Provide physical support during physiotherapy sessions
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team
  • Provide discharge planning
  • Perform patient assessments and diagnoses
  • Implement rehabilitation strategies
  • Supervise Therapy Assistants and Provisional Physiotherapists
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide clinical supervision

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy

Experience

1 year preferred in adult inpatient acute care

  • Strong clinical reasoning

  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Connect Care knowledge preferred
  • Physical capability to lift 10-15 kg
  • Ability to work independently and in teams

Required Certifications

  • Current registration with College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
  • Heart and Stroke CPR (BLS-HCP)
