Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement strategic vision for Office of Ombudsman
- Manage staff including recruiting, hiring, and performance management
- Administer complaint management system
- Respond to student inquiries within 48 hours
- Resolve complaints within 7 days
- Act as primary contact for student appeals
- Facilitate conflict resolution
- Provide guidance on institutional policies
- Maintain historical complaint reports
- Identify trends in student complaints
- Collaborate with legal and compliance departments
- Provide recommendations to Appeals Committee
- Establish and maintain compliance policies
- Provide training on student rights regulations
Requirements
Education
Terminal degree preferred or Master's degree
Experience
10 years leading Ombuds department at post-secondary institution
