Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate referral, intake, placement and termination procedures for all students
- Identify and develop new programs and make recommendations for changes
- Provide oversight of ACCEPT programs and services
- Case management with district personnel
- Oversee Team meeting process
- Maintain home/school communication
- Oversee classroom operations and logistics
- Work with staff on curriculum development
- Develop Alternative Assessment strategies
- Recruit, interview, hire and supervise special education staff
- Oversee professional development programs
- Assist with budget preparation and management
- Manage inventory and supplies
- Assist with grant writing
Requirements
Education
Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field
Experience
Successful experience as a special education leader
Required Skills
- Collaborative leadership
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Interpersonal and facilitation skills
- Knowledge of education research and trends
- Knowledge of moderate/severe disabilities
- Budget development and oversight

Required Certifications
