Fisheries Population Ecologist

Key Responsibilities

• Model sustainable harvest of fisheries populations
• Determine and support additional data collection
• Provide senior technical support on data management
• Support GIS needs
• Lead provincial voucher specimen program
• Coordinate with Royal Ontario Museum for fish distribution network
• Conduct fieldwork and travel as needed

Requirements

Education

Master's of Science degree in biological sciences

Experience

Several years of directly related work experience

Required Skills

• Population modeling
• Data management
• Federal Species at Risk programming
• GIS expertise
• Ability to work in remote locations
