Key Responsibilities
- Clinical analysis and reporting on patient samples according to established protocols
- Assisting in lab projects such as SOPs, chemical inventories
- Maintaining a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines
- Ensuring compliance with quality assurance programs
- Maintaining standards put forth by Accreditation
Requirements
Education
Graduate of an approved Genetics Technology program
Experience
Previous genetics and genomics related experience preferred
Required Skills
- Windows computer environment
- Microsoft Office programs
- Attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Proficient analytical skills
- Work under pressure
- Maintain confidentiality
Required Certifications
- Current or eligible for Clinical Genetics or Molecular Genetics registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM)
