Intake Support Counsellor

Key Responsibilities
- Provide front-line support to clients calling into the Care Centre
- Assess client needs
- Determine when to elevate clients to Masters Level Counsellors
- Follow up with service requests
- Contact clients about services and referrals
- Perform administrative tasks
- Data entry
- Collaborate with FSEAP Care Centre Counsellors and other employees
- Manage telephonic client and affiliate contact
- Detailed data entry in a mental health service environment
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field
Experience
Minimum 2 years related experience
Required Skills
- Client contact regarding mental health needs
- Ability to assess referral appropriateness
- Experience in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Collaboration with team members
- Quick learning of unique services and systems
- Superior attention to detail
- Document design and typing
- Spreadsheet use
- Mid to high level competency in MS Office applications
- Strong communication ability
- Ability to work independently and in a team
