Lab Director

Key Responsibilities

• Manage laboratory performance to align with company goals
• Ensure compliance with Mérieux policies and procedures
• Participate in strategic conversations with sales team
• Meet with current and prospective clients
• Provide technical expertise and data interpretation
• Manage internal quality control programs
• Monitor quality activities and implement corrective actions
• Manage local controlled documents
• Oversee laboratory operations and staff
• Participate in internal and external audits

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred

Experience

Previous supervisory experience required

• Advanced knowledge of microbiology and/or chemistry
• Food science expertise
• Financial and budgeting knowledge
• Sales and marketing knowledge
• Computer proficiency
• Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) knowledge
• Strong analytical skills
