Mental Health Clinician

Key Responsibilities

• Perform psychosocial intervention
• Provide crisis intervention
• Conduct assessments
• Offer consultation
• Make referrals
• Deliver treatment
• Participate in program planning and development
• Provide supervision to practicum students
• Conduct intake and clinical interviews
• Screen clients with addiction and mental health disorders
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

Education

Master's degree in psychology or Bachelor's degree in social work, occupational therapy, nursing, or psychiatric nursing

Experience

3 years

• Crisis intervention
• Mental health assessment
• Brief counseling
• Triage
• Intervention and stabilization
• Knowledge of Addiction and Mental Health resources
• Ability to work with community stakeholders
• Collaboration skills

Required Certifications

• Active registration with applicable Alberta regulatory college
• Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
• Driver's License
