Key Responsibilities
- Provide image processing support for academic and industrial users of the Macdonald Campus Multi-Scale Imaging Facility
- Train students and users on the use of image analysis software packages including ImageJ/Fiji, Imaris and Dragonfly
- Assist users in their segmentation and image analysis requirements
- Analyze microscopy and CT-scanner images and data as requested by users and external clients
- Develop and write scripts for automated image analyses requirements
- Recommend and carry out relevant statistical analyses
- Contribute to the organization and delivery of short courses and workshops on image analysis
- Generate written and oral presentations of technical updates for internal audiences
- Collaborate with the manager of the Multi-Scale Imaging Facility on the development of grant proposals and business plans
