Key Responsibilities
- Identifying and assessing Major Accident Events
- Designing and implementing prevention, control, mitigation, and protection measures
- Contributing to safe design through Preliminary Risk Analysis
- Participating in safety reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, etc.)
- Reviewing plot plans and 3D models
- Identifying Safety Critical Elements (SCEs) and criticality ratings
- Hazardous area classification
- Passive fire protection
- Cold spill protection
- Designing active fire protection systems
- Designing flammable and toxic gas detection systems
- Developing personnel protection strategies
Requirements
Education
Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Safety or Process Engineering
Experience
Several years
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of HSED engineering activities
- Understanding of international safety codes and standards
- Expertise in safety engineering for Oil & Gas or energy transition facilities
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication skills
- Commitment to safety, proactivity, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and organize tasks efficiently
- Strong problem-solving skills
