Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and assessing Major Accident Events
  • Designing and implementing prevention, control, mitigation, and protection measures
  • Contributing to safe design through Preliminary Risk Analysis
  • Participating in safety reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, etc.)
  • Reviewing plot plans and 3D models
  • Identifying Safety Critical Elements (SCEs) and criticality ratings
  • Hazardous area classification
  • Passive fire protection
  • Cold spill protection
  • Designing active fire protection systems
  • Designing flammable and toxic gas detection systems
  • Developing personnel protection strategies

Requirements

Education

Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Safety or Process Engineering

Experience

Several years

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HSED engineering activities
  • Understanding of international safety codes and standards
  • Expertise in safety engineering for Oil & Gas or energy transition facilities
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication skills
  • Commitment to safety, proactivity, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and organize tasks efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving skills
