Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients with impairments and disabilities
• Obtain detailed medical histories
• Perform standardized tests and evaluation procedures
• Develop holistic treatment programs
• Provide patient education
• Supervise physiotherapy students and assistants
• Collaborate with healthcare team members
• Participate in team effectiveness evaluation

Requirements

Education

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from accredited university

Experience

4 years minimum

Required Skills

• Computer skills (statistics, word processing, EMR)
• Excellent interpersonal communication
• Written communication
• Problem-solving
• Team collaboration
• French language (preferred)

Required Certifications

• Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists membership
• BCLS (Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation)
• WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
