Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support to Fife Council
- Manage own case load
- Represent council in litigation matters
- Handle child protection cases
- Handle permanence cases
- Handle adults with incapacity cases
- Handle adult support and protection cases
- Handle mental health cases
- Handle education cases
- Handle housing cases
- Handle debt recovery cases
- Handle HMO and Short Term Let Licensing
- Handle employment cases
Requirements
Education
SCQF level 11 (Masters Degree or Post Graduate Diploma) with Law Degree (LLB) and Diploma in Legal Practice
Experience
Experience in general Licensing and/or litigation preferred
Required Skills
- Well-developed communication skills
- IT skills
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Ability to travel to office locations, meetings, court and Tribunal appearances
Required Certifications
- Unrestricted Practicing Certificate issued by the Law Society of Scotland
- Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership
