Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of child care and early learning environments to ensure safety and compliance
Provide expert technical assistance and guidance to early learning providers
Assess and verify licensing qualifications through MERIT system
Initiate and manage adverse actions including legal proceedings when necessary
Document and investigate licensing complaints according to DCYF policies
Serve as department representative in administrative hearings
Facilitate provider orientation and training programs
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, social work, health/social science, public administration or related field
Experience
Three years of professional experience in social services administration OR One year as Social and Health Program Consultant 1
