Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic development of SHSS Service Plans in collaboration with Clinical Counsellors, directly impacting stabilization outcomes for vulnerable youth in crisis situations
Design and implement comprehensive behavioral intervention strategies utilizing evidence-based psychosocial and trauma-informed approaches, ensuring measurable improvement in client outcomes
Conduct functional behavioral assessments and provide expert consultation to community agencies, schools, hospitals, and Ministry programs, establishing the organization as a key stakeholder in the regional care network
Develop crisis mitigation and stabilization protocols that serve as foundational elements for the 2-bed specialized care facility's operational success
Deliver specialized training programs to parents, guardians, caregivers, and service providers, multiplying the impact of therapeutic interventions across the care continuum
Monitor and evaluate staff implementation of behavioral supports, ensuring quality control and continuous improvement in service delivery
Maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting systems that support evidence-based practice and regulatory compliance

Requirements

Education

Master's degree in Social Work, Educational Counselling, Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology or Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at the Master's level

Experience

Must have experience working with youth ages 5 to 18 who may have experienced trauma, mental health concerns, complex developmental behavior concerns, drug use, suicidal ideation, self-harm or intellectual or developmental disability. Must have experience working with integrated case management and working collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and other related professionals
