Key Responsibilities

Define comprehensive data governance strategies, policies, and procedures that establish organizational data management foundation and regulatory compliance framework
Define and enforce enterprise-wide data governance standards ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy throughout the complete data lifecycle for business intelligence optimization
Develop robust data governance frameworks and guidelines including data classification systems, data ownership protocols, and data stewardship programs for organizational data accountability
Provide strategic implementation guidance on data quality initiatives including establishing measurable data quality standards, conducting comprehensive data profiling, and defining automated data quality rules and metrics
Ensure comprehensive data security and privacy compliance by implementing appropriate access controls, data classification protocols, and data protection measures aligned with regulatory requirements
Design and optimize data management processes including data identification systems, metadata management frameworks, data lineage tracking, and comprehensive data cataloging for enhanced data discoverability
Define and facilitate data sharing and collaboration protocols across teams and departments ensuring secure data access, usability optimization, and proper data sharing agreements for cross-functional efficiency
Evaluate, select, and implement advanced data governance tools and technologies such as Alation and Azure Purview to support governance initiatives and enhance organizational data management capabilities
Provide expert guidance and comprehensive training to business users and stakeholders on data governance best practices, policies, and procedures for organizational data literacy improvement
Stay current with industry trends, standards, and evolving regulatory requirements related to data governance and recommend strategic modifications to existing policies and practices for continuous improvement

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management or related field

Experience

3+ years of experience in data analytics or data governance

Required Skills
