Key Responsibilities

Edit official UNCCD documents and publications in English, ensuring strategic alignment with United Nations editorial standards while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and cohesion that directly impacts international policy communication
Conduct comprehensive editorial restructuring and rewriting of complex technical texts to enhance readability and logical flow, directly influencing the effectiveness of environmental policy communication to global stakeholders
Oversee proof-reading of layout files for reports and summaries, ensuring final documentation meets the highest professional standards for international conference distribution

Requirements

Education

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in social sciences, communications, journalism, international affairs or a related field

Experience

Three to five years' professional experience in writing, editing or electronic publishing at the international level is required
