Key Responsibilities

Lead curriculum development and delivery for Health Information Management program with focus on industry alignment
Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student progress and learning outcomes
Guide practical skill development through hands-on training and simulation exercises
Contribute to program improvement and modernization initiatives
Foster inclusive learning environment while managing classroom dynamics

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in health information management, Health Informatics, Health Sciences, or related field; Master's preferred

Experience

Minimum 3 years in health information management; 2 years teaching experience

Required Skills

Experience with electronic health records (EHR) Knowledge of privacy legislation (PHIPA) Proficiency in coding systems (ICD-10-CA, SNOMED CT) Strong understanding of health information governance Data quality management expertise Healthcare software and database proficiency MS Office Suite competency Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
