Key Responsibilities

Lead the strategic maintenance of timeliness and integrity for critical business data with specialized focus on index data that directly impacts investment management, performance attribution, risk management and portfolio monitoring across global operations
Drive operational excellence in daily production and delivery of index data to multiple data consumers, ensuring zero-tolerance approach to data delivery failures through proactive issue identification, escalation protocols and rapid resolution strategies
Champion the strategic onboarding of new indices and consumers to the enterprise data distribution platform while implementing comprehensive data quality validation frameworks to ensure complete, accurate and timely data integration
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with Vendor Management teams to optimize relationships with index data vendors through service level agreement creation, performance monitoring and incident tracking that directly impacts business continuity
Serve as the primary business liaison for index data utilization including custom indices, carve-outs and composite blends, working directly with investment teams to resolve complex data queries and drive business value creation
Develop comprehensive management information systems and analytics on index data usage patterns across the organization to support strategic decision-making and resource optimization
Design and implement critical procedures, policies and workflows that ensure robust index data distribution and maintenance operations supporting enterprise-wide data governance initiatives

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree or master's Degree (or equivalent)

Experience

Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in Index Operations

Required Skills

Good understanding of index data, index data providers, index composition and index feed file types Good understanding of index valuation types and calculating index returns Good understanding of performance measurement, performance attribution and performance reporting Good understanding of market data and reference data spanning equities and fixed income; this will include instrument identification, industrial classifications, pricing and corporate events Understanding of emerging trends in ESG and alternative dataset Understanding of currency hedging A background in investment management data or financial data management Proactive problem solver who takes responsibility for finding a solution and for driving continuous improvement Proficient with MS Excel, file handling tools and SQL Excellent time management skills Calm under pressure Willing to start the day at 8am
