Industry Trends

The Applied Behavior Analysis industry is experiencing unprecedented growth driven by increased autism spectrum disorder diagnoses and enhanced insurance coverage mandates. Recent legislation requiring insurance coverage for ABA therapy has expanded market access significantly, creating sustained demand for qualified BCBAs across all service delivery models. Healthcare organizations are increasingly focusing on Medicaid-eligible populations as a primary growth strategy, particularly in pediatric behavioral health services. This trend reflects both the underserved nature of this population and the stable reimbursement opportunities available through state Medicaid programs and waiver services. The industry is shifting toward clinic-based service delivery models to improve efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining quality outcomes. This operational approach allows for better supervision, standardized protocols, and improved staff retention compared to traditional home-based only models.

Salary Evaluation

The offered salary of $80,000 base plus up to $20,000 in quarterly bonuses positions this role competitively within the North Carolina market, where BCBA salaries typically range from $75,000 to $95,000 annually. The total compensation potential of $100,000 places this opportunity in the upper quartile for the regional market.
