This growth is particularly pronounced in the UK and European markets where data sovereignty regulations are driving local infrastructure development. Modular and off-site construction techniques are becoming industry standard in data centre construction, requiring quantity surveyors to adapt traditional cost management approaches to accommodate prefabricated solutions and complex MEP installations that demand specialized commercial expertise. Environmental sustainability and ESG compliance are reshaping commercial strategies in construction, with data centre projects increasingly requiring carbon-neutral approaches and circular economy principles that directly impact procurement strategies and cost management methodologies.

Senior management position with direct report to Head of Commercial, indicating C-suite proximity and significant influence over company commercial strategy, profit margins, and business development across multiple concurrent projects worth potentially millions in contract value

Key Projects

Multi-million pound data centre fit-out projects involving complex MEP installations and precision cooling systems International data centre expansion projects across European markets requiring regulatory compliance and local partnership management Modular data centre construction projects utilizing off-site manufacturing and assembly techniques requiring specialized commercial management approaches

Success Factors
