Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic implementation and optimization of MyAHS Connect patient portal and Connect Care Provider Portal across Alberta's entire healthcare system, directly impacting patient care delivery for over 4.4 million Albertans
Drive organizational change management for complex clinical informatics initiatives spanning multiple healthcare programs including Acute Care, Recovery, Primary Care, and Assisted Living Alberta
Provide executive-level leadership in resolving politically-sensitive issues that could significantly impact provincial healthcare operations and patient outcomes
Coordinate cross-functional teams of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure successful adoption of clinical information systems across diverse healthcare settings
Manage high-stakes stakeholder relationships including academic institutions, physician groups, and professional associations to advance Alberta's digital health strategy
Assess, define, and implement critical clinical workflows that directly influence patient safety and clinical outcomes across the province's healthcare network

Requirements

Education

Undergraduate degree required. Master's degree preferred.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible roles in health informatics. A minimum of 10 years of direct experience in clinical roles in the provision of healthcare or a strong working knowledge and intimate understanding of healthcare delivery. Minimum 10 years of leadership experience with responsibility in leading organizational change for programs or organizations of significant size and complexity, including management and leadership experience.
