Key Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based psychosocial support services to Aboriginal community members
Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop tailored care plans
Provide case management and advocacy for complex client needs
Facilitate group therapy and counseling sessions
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including medical, therapeutic and cultural support teams
Implement culturally sensitive intervention strategies
Navigate complex social issues including family violence, AOD, and child protection

Requirements

Education

Social Work degree recognised or accredited by the AASW

Experience

3 years of social work experience (excluding placement) in a recognised field of social work

Required Skills

Knowledge of Aboriginal social and emotional wellbeing needs Case management expertise Stakeholder communication skills Cultural sensitivity and awareness Aboriginal language proficiency (preferred) Knowledge of Central Australian region Ability to maintain confidentiality
