Key Responsibilities

Drive strategic supplier development by establishing new supply sources and forming strategic alliances that enhance competitive positioning
Lead complex business negotiations by developing sophisticated negotiation strategies that maximize value creation
Spearhead commodity development initiatives through comprehensive project management including business case preparation and stakeholder alignment
Execute commodity strategy development and provide senior leadership with critical project updates and negotiation status reports
Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities that directly impact organizational profitability and operational efficiency
Build and maintain strategic internal and external networks that enhance supply chain resilience and market intelligence
Serve as primary supplier interface for new business development ensuring seamless integration of new partnerships
Provide strategic sourcing guidance to sites and business units optimizing procurement approaches across the organization
Lead supplier claim negotiations and dispute resolution supporting production continuity and operational excellence
Support business units in enforcing contractual remedies for material breaches protecting organizational interests
Negotiate complex supplier contracts ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation
Maintain contract compliance and alignment with evolving business requirements and regulatory standards
Coordinate procurement team activities aligned with balanced scorecard objectives and strategic master plans

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent

Experience

Seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant experience

Required Skills

Experience in the aerospace industry and/or manufacturing environment and/or program management, in a commercial role Excellent negotiation skills and experience in project management Detail oriented, focused and committed to meeting deadlines Strong team player, recognized for leadership and innovation, and ability to mobilize a team High proficiency and good communicator in French and English (written and spoken) Strong capabilities in operations and financial management Comfortable with complex technical topics, and knowledge of legal terminology or interpretation of contracts Familiar with Just-In-Time purchasing logistic, integrated supply chain and lean manufacturing concepts Can work with MS Project, Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Outlook
