Key Responsibilities

  • Development of numerical methods
  • Numerical implementation in Python
  • Verification and validation of the code
  • Development of the structure for one dimensional nested meshes in 1d
  • Development of the projection and restriction multigrid operators
  • Development of multigrid preconditioning methods for the one dimensional Laplace equation based on the Jacobi smoother
  • Development of V, W, and K cycle and development of an adaptative strategy based on the order of reduction of the residual
  • Test of the multigrid method for large time step implicit integration of the wave system
  • Development of the same strategy for ImEx implementation of Shallow-water equations (if time allows)

Education

PhD or equivalent

Experience
